On 6th May the school entered a team of 47 athletes to compete in the heats of the Donegal Primary School Athletics Championships. Many made finals of the heats on the day and in each category only 4 athletes were selected to compete at finals day. With a team of 7 athletes competing on finals day, Joe P7 was placed first in Javelin, Fallou P6 second in his category in Javelin and Blake P5 achieved a second place in his category in Javelin and 3rd in the long distance. Dearbhail P4 also made the final on the day in her sprint category.
Joe has held the Donegal Championship 3 times and second once, a remarkable achievement. We wish him all the best in the Ulster Championships.
