Easter Newsletter for Each Class

3rd Apr 2020

Hello children, I hope you are all well and trying to keep busy. It is nearly the Easter Holidays so all the teachers have written you an Easter Newsletter which includes simple ideas, activities and prayers to help you over the Easter Holidays. Try and help out at home and don't eat too many Easter Eggs! Keep safe. Mr. Mc Gurk

Dear Parent/s, I hope you and all your family are safe. In the Home Learning Section all the teachers have written directly to the children in their classes. For the next two weeks they can follow some of the activities and keep busy using some of the ideas included in the newsletters. Feel free to complete activities or tasks from other classes if your child is extra motivated. Parents who have children in receipt of free school meals should be receiving direct payments now.

I have added to the website Fr. Paul's School Mass and a Little Story Book about the Covid-19 virus which helps our pupils to understand about the virus. I will be in touch with you at the end of the holidays to arrange to collect further packs and we will also release a virtual Google Classroom and an online resource where we can share reading books and activities with the pupils to use after the Easter Holidays. The teacher will be able to set tasks online and mark and return work which will remove some of the responsibility from parents.

I would encourage pupils in P3 to P7 to use Mathletics daily and pupils in P4 to P7 to use Accelerated Reader regularly as well as these platforms are great learning tools. Mr. Doherty has also added learning websites to the website which can also fill the time and continue to educate the children.  Remember do your best and encourage the children to complete tasks to the best of their abilities in the mean time.

Thank you Mr. Mc Gurk
